Pediatric Dentistry

Pediatric Dentistry:

We are enthusiastic about the oral health of children from infancy through the teen years. Our team is here to care for a child’s teeth, gums, and mouth throughout the graded stages of childhood.

First baby tooth erupts during the first 6 months of life and last one comes around 2.5 years. By age 6 or 7 years, baby teeth start becoming lose, which ultimately are replaced by secondary, permanent teeth. Today, early childhood dental caries—an infectious disease—is 5 times more common in children than asthma and 7 times more common than hay fever (1). Without appropriate dental care, children face likely oral decay and disease that can cause a lifetime of pain and complications.

Our Pediatric Dentistry Services:

  • Infant oral health exams, which include risk assessment for caries in mother and child
  • Habit counseling (for example, thumb sucking and pacifier use)
  • Nutrition and diet recommendations
  • Preventive dental care including cleaning and fluoride treatments,
  • Assessment and treatment for straightening teeth (orthodontics)
  • Restoration of tooth cavities
  • Emergency dental treatment for Trauma (fractured, displaced, or knocked-out teeth)
